This shot is taken in l977. Unfortunately there were no such arial views taken at earlier dates. It should help to give an impression of how the valley looked. See the blue winding line of the river on the right, the road where it sweeps in at an angle to cross the bridge. A little downstream you may just make out the waterwheel and the patch of white where water bubbles over the weir. The first building you pass after crossing the bridge is the house, the two other buildings are the two toilet facilities. This view does not show the full downstream extent of the site or the terraces up the valley side to the left. |
