EXTRACT ONE    -    THE  DECISION.
    Standing silently, hand in hand, gazing at the wild Cornish valley before them, Jan recalled the words of a close friend, echoing her own recent thoughts.
     "How", she asked incredulously, can you think of giving up your nice house and all the good things you’ve gathered together? You’re surrounded by friends, you can’t possibly go off to live in the wilds. It’s crazy! And in a caravan!"
     The picture of a head shaken slowly from side to side in puzzlement and her friend’s last words still hung clearly in memory. "What will you do for money? Think of the children! And why would you want to? Tell me that. Why?"
     Why? "Because Gordon wants to," she told herself. And it was true, she knew that, and knew why; he wanted the challenge. The more difficult, the more isolated, more primitive, the greater his desire. A need to overcome, to build, to create something special, to leave a mark. But should she agree? Should she let him - go with him?             -Extract ends-

 LEFT. You stand on the Bridge  with no parapets, the clear river flowing below, and look up towards the old waste heaps.             

   RIGHT.                                                        
Climbing those heaps, you see the tiny
blue and white blob, that’s our  caravan and awning, and that patch of white
across the road - the beehives  that   caused so much grief to one girl.
