A gentle family tale of adventure, humour, risks and romance, a love of all things natural - Oh yes, and a Waterwheel!

Wheel on the Hayle is the third in a series of novels of a family with three young children who abandon the security of a big house and friends, and move to a wild, remote Cornish valley in search of... who knows what... adventure maybe, or a better life? The special retreat for holiday visitors has started, but will it really succeed - and they still live by candlelight beside the small clear stream, a stream that would provide power - if only they could harness it!

Don't expect to see the real action here!    These photos show the gentler moments when one has chance to think and prepare - who bothers with cameras at times of risk and danger - certainly no one in real life - for those more dramatic moments you must read the book!

This is a true tale, without crime or violence, but there are problems - How did Sharon escape? Where is Margaret now? Will Billy survive? Life in the valley is unconventional but mostly happy, lightened by children's laughter and a little ingenuity. Romance and a love of all things natural are the setting as a greater peril insidiously approaches. It is a true story of real places the reader can visit - visit and wonder? Could they have done it? Dream about it - who knows, one day perhaps...
